The pass-through cost is simply the fee that the promotional directory (like Freebooksy, The Fussy Librarian, etc.) charges to feature your book. We do not mark this up. You pay what they charge. The costs vary depending on the strategy we're running:

  • A standard 99-cent promo campaign typically costs around $40-$60 for the month.

  • A major Free Kindle promo campaign (which can be run every 90 days) is a larger investment, typically around $300 for maximum reach.

  • A Goodreads Giveaway has a flat fee of $119 charged by Goodreads.

We would need a credit card on file to process these payments direct to each directory.

How does the marketing strategy work month-to-month?

Our typical strategy after a major launch is to run 99-cent promotions for a few months to maintain sales and visibility. After about three months, we will conduct a "strategy check-in."
